Van Gogh painted a series of paintings of blossoming orchards in the spring of 1888 during his stay in Arles, including this "Souvenir de Mauve" from 1888, in homage to Anton Mauve, his cousin and teacher. These two peach trees in full bloom under the spring sun are part of the collection of the Kroller-Muller Museum in the Netherlands.
