Typical of American Pilot Boats of the 19th Century, Mantua's model is a faithful and historically accurate replica. All the assembly parts of the plywood bulkheads and sub-deck are laser cut. Plank-on-bulkhead construction uses beech for the first layer and rich walnut for the second.
An ample fittings package includes walnut blocks and deadeyes, cast white metal cleats, anchor and bollards, brass capstan, belaying pins, chain-plates and photo-etched brass sheet for windows plus many other life-like details. Three diameters of rigging line, silk-screened cloth flag and nameplate finish your impressive model. Detailed plans are two huge sheets, accompanied by four pages of English step-by-step and a parts list. Over-all length of finished model is 22-1/2". Length of hull is 14".
