A classic among British frigates, the H.M.S. Unicorn was designed in 1700 by F.H. Chapman, Britain's foremost naval architect. Her speed, stability and maneuverability revolutionized men-of-war design and construction.
Plank-on-bulkhead ship model kit by Corel, HMS Unicorn, features pre-cut parts throughout. Internal structural parts are poplar plywood. Walnut outer hull planking is accented by maple and mahogany trim. Fittings include 32 brass cannon, gilded metal decorations and figurehead. Walnut blocks and deadeyes, other hardwood parts, brass and copper pieces complete the fittings package. Cradle and display base are included, along with nine sheets of plans and instructions.
